Our Team

Tony Gestier is a veterinarian, co-founder and the director of Vetafarm. He graduated from Sydney University in 1979 (BVSc) and formed a strong interest in avian and exotic animal medicine. Tony then passed his Australian College of Veterinary Science examinations in Avian Medicine in 1986 (MACVSc). He also completed study in Pharmaceutical Manufacture (BMSc) and specialist animal nutrition.

Tony co-founded Vetafarm in 1990 after identifying a lack of treatments in the avian industry. Soon after, Tony took sole ownership of Vetafarm and began developing even more innovative solutions for animals of all kinds – small animals, reptiles, dogs & cats, zoo, marine and more.

The philosophy of Vetafarm is to do the right thing by the animals. We’re constantly driven by that at all levels of the company. We’re here because of the animals.

Ben is our General Manager.

Ben has extensive knowledge and experience in the animal industry and the operations of Vetafarm. He is a boots-on-the-ground manager who oversees our staff, operations and innovations.

Ben is a proud pet parent to Sam and Freddy, the cheeky German Shorthaired Pointers.

Stacey is our Sales Manager.

Between nurturing relationships with key accounts, coordinating product releases and promotional campaigns, her eye for detail keeps administration on point!

Stacey is a proud pet parent to Hazel, Honey and Oreo the Cavoodles, Ruby the Cockatiel and Corey the crazy Quaker.

Mat is our Systems and IT Manager.

Between finding solutions to problems or innovating for the future – Mat is the go-to for anything tech, systems and data.

Mat is a proud pet parent to River the Staffy, Arlo the German Shepard x Mastif, Bruno the Staffy x, Bridicus the Plumhead, Smokey the Cockatiel, The Hoard of lorikeets, Lounge the Bearded Dragon, Olive the Axolotl and Phillip the mini lop eared Rabbit.

Allie is our Marketing Manager, and one of our professional Graphic Designers.

Whether it’s designing, brainstorming with the tight-knit marketing team, coordinating with our partners, strategizing campaigns or creating content – she loves anything creative and fun.
